The story so far ...
DECEMBER 2025
Where does the time go?
Hmmm... this is becoming a habit!
But at least I'm here now and t'is the season for good will to all humankind. T'is also the season for a novella! Some of you guys are telling me you aren't aware of the Between the Weys series. They sit separate to Maisie's story so you can start one any time you feel like it, but they tend to be set at this time of year, giving them a bite-sized seasonal flavour. The lead character so far has been Lizzy Brookes but that may change ...
Wey Bells Ring is set on December 31st 1999 and is a little dip into how the threat of the Y2K 'bug' affected those of us fortunate to witness the arrival of a new Millennium. I hope you enjoy it, and have a very happy holiday season - or what's left of it!
Enjoy the journey!

What readers are saying about the Wey Back in Time series ...
‘If you want a book that keeps you so hooked you forget to do anything you've planned and over an hour can pass without you realising then I seriously recommend you give this series a go.’ *****
'I have read four of the Weys stories and can’t wait for the next one. I am in my 50s and the nostalgia is great. The stories are good for any age group as modern teens meet older generations.’ *****
‘Good enough to make me download all five books in the series.’ ****
'I am always transported back to Stoneford as soon as I read the first page of a Wey book. It's like visiting a favourite destination.' *****
'This is one of the best series I've read in a long time. Being a hippie for the past 70 years I can relate to all the events in the wey books. The "parties" especially lol. Keep up the good work. Just read No 10, can't wait for the next series.' *****
'The author doesn't fall into the trap of the old generational conflict cliches and this, together with the humour/tragedy mix makes this an interesting read. Characters are well-developed and ones to empathise with.
I look forward to checking out the rest of the series.' *****
I don't know how you keep coming up with these S J Blackwell and how you can link everything together but I'm glad you can as this is a great series, for the young at heart as well as the young! *****
'This series just gets better and it's almost impossible to predict some of the twists.' *****
'Couldn't put it down, characters so believable, I felt so nostalgic about 1987, descriptions so accurate, So readable for teenagers and anyone young at heart.’ *****
‘I’ve just finished Wey Back When and it was soooo good! Such a page turner.’ *****
just wanted to say that I've read all the "Wey" series, and absolutely love them!
I have a seriously eclectic taste in books, but time-travel is up there towards the top, especially the adventures of Lizzy, Masie and co - Jef, FB review.
I'm currently on the sixth book and my house is worse than I've ever seen it, but I'm simply not looking at it -all I can do is read! - Claire, FB review.
